People seem to be doing intro posts, but I'm kind of small fry and I don't know that I have many followers, let alone followers who don't know who I am, for values of I = Domenika Marzione. Is there anything you want to know? Maybe I should be demanding you (re-)introduce yourselves instead.

My fic at AO3, which is a hilariously incomplete list because I'm twenty-plus years into fandom. I have a horribly long list of stuff I need to upload to AO3 because (a) the website I've been graciously hosted at for a long time is going away and (b) I wrote so much OC-heavy fic in my Stargate days and I didn't think it was 'worthy' of going up on AO3 with an SGA tag. I'm a little torn about uploading the really old stuff, like my Homicide fic or stuff from my first go-round with comics fic because I'm honestly a little worried about looking at it. I was never an awful writer, but I'm a better one now. I already have one of my DCU stories going up at AO3 as anonymous because I don't want to look at it. (It's slash!) And we're just going to completely forget that I wrote Prequel SW fic because that is the fandom I deeply regret writing in because I did it for the wrong reasons and tried (and failed) to yank it from M&A fifteen years ago.

So how about this: you got questions, I presumably got answers. You want to (re-)introduce yourself because it's been a few years, please do and I'll be chuffed to (re-)make your acquaintance. Everyone participates!

I swept sequential Real Ghostbuster stories into an omnibus to put them on AO3 because they needed rewrites but I didn't have the will to do them at the time. Put a big old These Are So They Are Here.

I think everything but comment fics are now at AO3. So none of the Obsenads either.

Occasionally I get out to put new installments on my Dresden Files/Avengers story, otherwise I'm still working on a five years and counting series in a MCU AU because the tropes have been poor decisions so I'm ignoring them.

And I've figured out how to find which comics I want to borrow from the library, which is good, because I think the streaming is about to kill video.

It's likely I will get pushed back into vintage media and from there into print that's new to me but 100, 150 years old.

Hi, I'm Yena, and I have been lurking around the edges for ages, mostly hoping for Future Pluperfect to reappear...

(If that tells you how long I've been lurking along in your shadow).

Also Ties That Bind is still one of my favorite angst fests.

Your SGA OCs are very worthy of AO3; I rec them to every newbie to the fandom. Best outsider POV, best original characters, best informative military insight (that SGA in general, canon and fanfic) often lacked. So, while I have them all saved to my Kindle, please share them with others so I know where to direct them in future. :D

I wish there were some way I could help. I also wish AO3 had been around ten years earlier to make the transition a lot less painful for a lot of writers. So many of my Pinboard links are dead now, and hunting down lost fic has become something of an art form. I've personally saved over 2k SGA fics and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

PS: Pseud change; I used to be mischief5 on LJ. :D

Hey there! I'm pretty sure we've never met, I was only ever a lurker on Tumblr. But I first came across you through Freezer Burn, and it's still one of the smartest and most impressive fics I've read in the past few years, MCU or otherwise.

I'm pretty sure the first of your stories I read was part of Teacher's Pet. I enjoyed your take on the relationship between Lorne & Sheppard and then I fell in love with your OCs (Nancy, Yoni, AJ!!). Also I'm from the NY metro area, (even it it's the Jersey side of the river), and I get a kick out your occasional NYC posts.

The thing is, even with my early fic that I don't like, I still get comments/kudos on it. I may not care for it very much, but other people do. And there are several cases where there was fic I really enjoyed, and the author thought it was not that great and juvenalia and took it down, and it was disappointing to me. So I tend to advocate for EVERYTHING getting saved, yes, even the early stuff when one's writing was far less good than it is now.

I've also lost fic I loved because the author took it down-- I know it's frustrating to read old juvenalia, but I'm sure someone would be sorry to see it vanish!

Would it be feasible to create a pseud at AO3 and put all your older or "less worthy" fics under that name? That way they would be linked yet separate. Alternatively, your could create a new account and link it to your old account in the profile so people can make the connection if they wish.

A pseud is like a sub-account. Some people have a different pen-name for each fandom, so making them pseuds gets around two issues -- first, it means that the author only has to remember one log-in (to AO3) but can operate under each pen-name, and secondly, it allows for duplication in the event that two different authors ended up with the same pen-name at different sites.

AO3 has a pretty good explanation <a href='https://archiveofourown.org/faq/pseuds?language_id=en"<here</a> and if you still have problems you can contact the support team. If you need to amalgamate two individual AO3 accounts, that's harder. You could go into your work, add your other ID as co-author, then log in as your second ID and remove the first name, but it might be easier just to ask if the AO3 team can do it in bulk.

Hmm, that's a slightly stickier question. I think that anyone who is subscribed to your main ID will get all your posts, and if your default pseud is the same as your ID the same will apply. If they are only subscribed to a subsidiary pseud I think they would only get fic you post under that pseud.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that your SGA fics are some of my very favorites because of your OCs. The way you wrote them gave so much depth to that ‘verse that made it less tv-dramatic, and more grounded in what-could-have real feeling. There were a lot of really talented writers in that fandom writing fantastic stuff, and to me, you are one of the best. Just sayin’.

I mean, the above commentators all agree with me but I'll say it too: your stuff is totally "worthy" and some of my favorite re-reads.

As someone who was in SGA fandom, wandered out of fandom and then wandered back in via MCU, finding that you've been writing in that for years has been a treat. It may not be Yoni and Nancy and the gang, but it's still your dense (and I mean that in the best possible sense), detail-laden writing with all the clever little turns of phrase and humor. I love your characterizations of Steve and Bucky and Nat and Clint.

I was an_kayoh on LJ, but I've been kiratael on Tumblr for the last few years.

Yes! I'm going to give him an icon space because the *sigh* picture is still hanging in my cubicle for aggravating days. (Next to my 'Evaluation of Potential Rabies Exposures' decision tree, because 50% of my aggravation comes from people thinking they're Snow White.)

But I guess I also worry a little that, like anything else that was enjoyed fifteen years ago, looking at it again with older eyes will spoil the magic.

Yeah, I can relate. One of the insidious risks of memory.

Long-time reader, but I have no idea if I ever commented anywhere, so hello (again?)! I stumbled across you in SGA, and your grounded, "lived in", vast-feeling take on that show, complete with so many OCs who felt sometimes more real than the show's own original characters, became so real and canon to me that it was weird to read other fic in that fandom that didn't include any of your characters, or didn't mention events that happened in your fic? It was *wonderful*
