Once upon a time, I regularly solicited prompts for drabble requests (that always wound up a couple thousand words or more). I got out of the habit a little as I moved out of SGA and (back) toward comicsfic and the MCU, but I'm going to reinstate the 'tradition' a bit because I've hit a bit of a lull and I don't want to wait until May and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
So, open mic night returns, this time for the MCU and MCU-adjacent.
The rules, such as they are:
(1) Don't throw poo to see if it sticks -- if you can't imagine any way your prompt becomes a story, don't assume I will, either.
(2a) Lurker prompts are welcome. Don't ever be too intimidated to leave a suggestion or think you count less because you talk less.
(2b) If I don't use your prompt, don't take it personally and don't take it as a signal to never leave another one. The capacity of my inspiration is not directly related to my regard for your imagination.
(3) Keep in mind what I usually write. I'm open to stretching my territory, but, you know, the PWP prompt may be a bridge too far. ;)
(4) Timestamps and POV shifts for existing stories are welcome. So are DVD commentary-esque questions or meta prompts.
Have at, please and thank you.

Date: 2015-03-30 05:42 (UTC)You don't really do crossovers, but a Stargate/MCU crossover would be awesome. How does SHIELD get along with the NID? With the SGC? Is the IOA and the World Security Council the same thing? How about HYDRA and the Rogue NID/Trust? Did Pierce and Mayborne ever work together? Did the SGC try to recruit Jane Foster, only to have her ignore them?

The IOA and WSC are too similar in brief to make sense as separate UN-esque secret agencies funded by US blood and treasure. I think the stargate and its accouterments, when it is found, is handed off to SHIELD because they're the ones who deal with the weird shit and it just means that Nick Fury starts worrying about aliens before 2011. :)
