The first Chanukah candles are lit on Wednesday, 27 November.

(US) Thanksgiving is Thursday, 28 November.

Holy carp! And other religious fish. I did not realize this until just now.

Apparently this happened in 1888 and will happen again precisely never. (Or near enough.)

Planning the latke party just got much easier and much harder.... (Anyone have a reliable sweet potato latke recipe?)

I got a suggestion over at LJ that looks fabulous.

I happen to know from experience that latkes and cranberries go well together.
