In the series, Miller is occasionally judged by an ex-girlfriend/current colleague whom he continually exasperates/takes advantage of in the style of a sitcom marriage, which makes me now suspect that Muss is a composite. But she also saves his life and he repays her by saving her soul in a way and there's mutual fondness and respect.
